Frequently asked

Use fresh water heated to about 90–95°C. Add one teaspoon of loose leaf per cup. Steep a first flush 2–3 minutes and a second flush or black 3–4 minutes, then strain. Darjeeling is best without milk so its muscatel notes shine.

First flush is the spring harvest — light, floral and bright. Second flush is the early-summer harvest — fuller, rounder and famous for its ripe muscatel character and amber colour.

Many of our teas, including our First Flush Reserve, come from certified-organic gardens. Every product clearly states its certification and estate of origin.
